German style pilsner brewed with 100% Sterling hops for a crisp, crushable beer with a citrus and floral “noble” hop aroma and flavor.
Freemasonry is one of the oldest organizations in the world. Much of what goes into it is seemingly shrouded in mystery. While the Freemasons date back to Biblical times, their modern organization dates to the 17th Century when many Scots fled England to escape strife and settled in France resuming their jobs. They created the Scottish Rite, or what most people know today as Freemasonry. Eventually Freemasonry spread across the globe to become what it has today.
Freemasonry is founded on three Rites, the first being the Entered Apprentice, the second the Entered Craft and the third is the Master Mason. Everyone entering the brotherhood begins with the First Rite, the Entered Apprentice. In this stage they learn a craft and hone it until they have the requisite skills.
In a way, this path is more than just with Freemasonry. Everyone begins a job at the bottom and learns as they gain experience, and our craft of brewing beer is no different. The brewers at Collusion started one day as Entered Apprentices and learned and honed their craft. One day we hope that we will be considered Masters of our craft.
When you stop in at Collusion and have a First Rite you are tasting the sum of our skill. But this skill started somewhere as an apprentice. This is one of our first offerings and it has only been improved on as our skills as brewers have improved. So, raise a First Rite and continue to improve!
